First, let’s go over what NOT to do when building your presence online and it’s something you’ve seen over and over again but never gave it any mind.
Do not spam you company or affiliate link all over cyberspace! You see them everywhere!! You get them, even, when you ask a simple question.
The biggest problem with sending your link everywhere is that other reps from your company are doing the same thing.
Think about it.

Second, stop promoting your Products!!
What!?! I know it goes against the grain, you say!
When you promote your products openly and totally, people will simply Google that product and get it cheaper from someone else or Ebay probably. They, also, won’t have reason to stay on your website. You give them no reason to stay.
Third, your potential customers don’t have a clue as to who you are so why should they buy from you. If your replicated company website allows a personal picture they might see you but that’s about it. Your potential customers don’t have any history with you, no common ground, no past chit chat.
So What do You Do!?!

Ask yourself this question, Do people join companies or do people join people? People join People! So if your Social Media Platform of choice is Facebook why would you have a picture of Vitamins, Make-up, or a Cruise ship as your profile picture or for that matter, your dog, an avatar, or anything else that isn’t you.
Your a Real Person so have a quality picture of yourself so People can see that you are REAL.
Provide Valuable Content/Information!
Give the People what they want and/or need.
If your niche is in the Health & Wellness, then provide valuable content about weigh loss, heart health, joint issues, or eye care. For example, if your blogging, you might post a blog, How I Lost 15 lbs in 30 days!, How to Reduce Your Cholesterol Naturally, Surgery-Free Relief for Your Joint Pain. Get the Picture. Your providing solutions, much needed information, explanations, feedback to their questions, doubts, quandaries and troubles.
Be Consistent and Congruent!
Provide your Valuable content on a regular basis.
You decide how often to post your insights, solutions and information to your audience; do you want to post once a week, twice a week or everyday but however often you decide to do it, be consistent. If your not then some else will. Form a schedule and stick to it.
And Stick to your Niche!!(Congruency)
If your niche is the Health & Wellness niche, then why would you be blogging about Skiing? If your in the Travel niche, then why would you be blogging about Make-up?
Get the Picture! Your audience will be expecting a certain range of topics that fit under the umbrella of your well defined Niche.
