Hey Everybody, how are you doing? Edwin Torres here, coming at you with 7 Tips on How to Brand Yourself Online.
Tip #1: Know Thyself!
Take the time to do some soul searching and reflection on who you are and how it relates to your brand. And the best way to do that is these 4 questions you should ask yourself.
- Who are you?
- What do you stand for?
- Who’s your audience?
- What’s your purpose?
Okay? Really think about those questions and be honest with yourself and build your brand around that.
Once you find your purpose, it’ll really drive who you are, it’ll drive why you’re doing this business and the people you’re going to help, all right?
Tip #2: Start a Blog with Videos.
Videos are in, blogs are fine but blogs with videos are going to help, big time. People will start to recognize you, they’ll start to know your work, even if they don’t tell you.
It’s happened to me, people have reached out to me after quite a while, saying “Oh, yeah, I’ve been watching you on Facebook live for a while now.”
” I’ve seen you on the internet here and there.” So blogs with videos, that’s the way to go. The Power of the Video will add much credibility to your Blog Post.
Tip #3 Create valuable content related to the brand and niche, your target a market.
Be of service.
People join people and people will join you if you provide them with a genuine solutions, inspirational or entertaining content.
It could be as simple as a quote, it could be a funny pic or a Solution they want. Post it on Facebook or Twitter or Instagram or anywhere else.
Tip #4 Build a presence.
Syndicate your blog, your videos, and your posts.
Learn some strategies on how to spread the word out about yourself. No one’s going to know about you if they can’t see your work, you have to make sure it gets out there.
And use the three C’s of branding yourself when building your presence.
Be clear with your message
Tip #5 One more “C”, Get a coach.
With a coach, you’re going to get some serious feedback from someone who’s already done it, they know the ropes, they walked the walk and if you get a really good coach, they’ll be really honest with you and tell you “Uh-uh, that isn’t working” or “Yes, that is working. “
Tip #6 Have faith in yourself, Believe in yourself.
Do some personal development, read books, watch YouTube videos. You know me, I’m a big fan of Tony Robbins, follow Tony Robbins or whomever resonates with you, Doctor Joe Dispenza, Mel Robbins, or Les Brown. There are a ton of them out there on YouTube, on audiobooks, but build that Faith and Belief in yourself that you could do this.
Tip #7 Be Patient.
It takes time to build a brand, anywhere from a few months to a few years, depending on your strategy. Rome wasn’t built in a day, so you are going to have to give yourself a break.
If you do this for a week and it’s “This doesn’t work, nobody knows me, nobody’s talk to me”. You are going to have to give yourself some time.
I highly recommend, especially if you’ve been a spammer, if you’re a recovering spammer where you would just throw in your company label and your products all over the internet and that’s all anybody does know you for, it’s gonna take you 90 days.
Give yourself 90 days to build a good presence and reverse your spammer image as opposed to somebody who is just clean off the slate and never been online.
So be patient with yourself.
Bonus Tip. Socialize with like-minded people.
Join groups on Facebook, join forums, go to events.
I just came from an event not so long ago with network marketers from all over the world. So socialize with like-minded people, connect with them, ask questions, get their feedback and little by little, that brand with the purpose that you’ve decided is gonna be your purpose, people will get to know you.
Keep it real, Keep the faith and God bless.
